On 7 and 8 November 2024, the Association of University Counsellors (AUC) conference, co-organised by the SOP, took place in Brno. The theme was well-being and mental health promotion in higher education.

The government has approved an amendment to the Higher Education Act that will require all universities to designate persons to deal with notifications from students of violations of the principle of equal treatment. On Wednesday 13 March 2024, a meeting of ombudsmen from more than 10 public universities took place at the Rector's Office of Masaryk University in Brno. The aim was to present and discuss preventive measures to promote social safety in the university environment.
